Does anyone else feel that Michael Vick is getting off too easy? For those of you who don't know, he has pled guilty to dog fighting charges, wherein it is alleged that he personally killed 8 dogs by hanging and other means. He will sign the actual plea bargain next Monday, and we will see exactly what it is he is admitting to, but it is pretty safe to say he did something amazingly scummy to these animals IN ADDITION to sponsoring the dog fights to begin with.
His possible sentence? 12 - 18 months. His NFL career? Not over by a longshot. Analysts are speculating that he could miss only 2-3 years.
While it is possible for him to get 5 years in prison, and be permanently banned from the NFL, that is not the scenario that the media is presenting. Does anyone else feel strongly about this issue?
